We were delighted when Fallon Carberry, founder and creative powerhouse of Glasgow based hair salon group, Blow, approached us to help her create her dream bedroom in her new city centre apartment. It allowed us to showcase our made to measure service perfectly — from the initial consultation with Fallon we were able to quickly establish exactly what she was looking for and our in-house design team got to work on finding the fabrics and wallpapers needed to help create her luxurious and unique bedroom design.
Fallon, who is known for her creative vision, knew exactly what she was looking for when she came to meet our team, she said:
“My work life can be very stressful and demanding so creating a luxurious, warm and zen experience in my bedroom is a must. My workplace is surrounded with bright and bold colours so soft tones such as white, grey and shades of pink are important to me in the bedroom to create a sense of relaxation and calm.
I knew I wanted to have a wow factor headboard covered in chic pink velvet and Ken from Remnant Kings showed me the perfect fabric immediately, Allure Heather by Clarke & Clarke — it was exactly what I had in my head. And for the curtains I’ve gone for sweeping drapes to frame my floor-to-ceiling windows — it will add real drama to the room without being fussy. And finally I’ve selected a textured grey wallpaper, Malmo Ice by Villa Nova, to add warmth. I’m so excited to see it all come to life.”
Here’s the finished result!
My Interior inspiration comes from many places:
“When you have those ‘I NEED that chair in my life’ moments, nothing quite beats Instagram, it has introduced me to so many talented, creative thinkers and independent businesses with a shared passion for interiors. It’s my go-to network for seeing, finding, buying and styling statement pieces for my home.
It’s also fun to be influenced by places I’ve travelled to, or to be inspired by fashion. Whether it’s the texture of a fabric or the detailing on a handbag, these things can spark a decor idea.
Johnathan Adler, The Rockett St George girls and Abigail Ahern are my interior style gurus.”
